My eyes are always itchy and red after i use makeup remover?

everytime, without fail, when i take off my eyemake up (just some mascara and eyeliner) it starts getting itchy. so i rub my eye and it gets really red, am i allergic or what?|||Try just rinsing your face well in the shower with warm water, and then wash your face at the very last so the makeup has some time to soften up so it can be removed.

I get irritated by makeup remover, too, so I tried using a bar of Dove soap (1/4 moisturizer y'all) and a really soft washcloth, and it removed everything and I had ZERO irritation. I will never go back lol.

It's possible that you're allergic... maybe it's the makeup remover, or maybe it's the makeup itself! I have a friend who is allergic to most kinds of foundation and mascara, she has to special order hers from some website. Perhaps you could try Googling hypoallergenic makeup? Anyway, best of luck to you!|||u might be alllergic! check with ur doctor!|||I am not sure why that is. Maybe it's the type you're using. Some are just TOO harsh!

best of luck!!|||Maybe you aren't being gentle enough when removing the eye makeup, if you're finding that you really have to scrub to get the eye makeup off then it's likely a fault with the makeup remover you're using. I'd suggest purchasing a better makeup remover so that your makeup will come off easier, that way you won't have to scrub at your eyes which is likely why they're becoming irritated. Also, once you start rubbing your eye - it'll only get itchier and you'll want to continue rubbing it. So if possible avoid rubbing it all together once you've removed the makeup :-) (Though I know that might be hard!)

Good luck|||nah, what do u think you are to it? lol

yesss ur allergicc!! get a new kind.|||Yes, you might be allergic!

Instead, use hypo allergetic baby oil.

Just soak a cotton pad and use that to rub off all eye makeup,

then, wash your face with cleanser and it'll be just as good.|||that happened to me, from any type of remover.. and i have contacts so that made it worse. look for mascara and eyeliner that is for sensitive eyes or contact lenses.. when that does get in your eye, it does not irritate your eyes.. also, use unscented baby wipes to remove your makeup. thats just as effective, and works for people with sensitive eyes and skin... also, theyre less expensive!

hope i helped!
