How to get nail polish remover off a wooden table?!?

I laid a towel out and everything but somehow the remover from the cotton swab soaked through and now there are these small, but white towel textured marks on our brand new kitchen table. Is there any way to get it all out or at least lighten the colour a little? It's a dark red wood, by the way.

I'd appreciate any help as my dad doesn't know yet!

Thank you :)|||It may have taken the stain off the table, in that case, you're kinda in trouble. But try some white tooth paste not gel. Put a dab, let sit for a few minutes and rub in a light, circular motion wit a soft cloth. Then rinse, with a wet clean rag. It should help remove any artificial spots, maybe that'll help. That's what we use on wood to remove water and heat stains/spots. Good luck.|||Sorry, but there isn't anything that will remove/cover nail polish remover. If liquid "Scratch Cover" polish is still sold in the furniture polish aisle of the grocery/dept. store, that may be one option. At least it would cover the spots %26amp; hopefully blend in with the color of the table. Option two, I once saw these special furniture markers, at Wal Mart, in the furniture aisle, that come in different colors, %26amp; can be used like the Scratch Cover polish. Try going to Lowes or Home Depot %26amp; ask if they sell a product that will cover the marks, if all else fails.|||Sorry Kami but lesson learned.Wish I had a dollar for every time someone has asked that question on this site.Nail polish remover is nasty stuff and causes a lot of damage.|||try getting it quite warm with your hair dryer. Call a local furniture refinisher and ask for advice.
