Help! Blue & Red Frosting on white carpet!! How do I remove it?

Hello,

Grandpa decided to come over and surprise my 4 kids with a July 4th cake. My 2 year old and 12 month old decided to get into it this morning and they smeared the very very dark blue, red and white frosting into our white carpet!! Does anyone know how to save our carpet? I have carbona ink and crayon remover and I have oxyclean in my house, but I don't know if I should try these. I also thought that maybe I could use shout stain remover and then use the carpet shampooer to clean it up. Any suggestions? Please help!!|||I would first try the carpet shampooer after you try to dry clean as much as possible. If the stain is dry, vacuum and pick out as much as the frosting as you can with your fingers, a comb, or a spoon. You do not want any excess frosting left in the carpet because it may spread.

Try the carpet cleaner, if it does not get everything up try the oxyclean.

As a last resort or to get any remaining color out dab it with a 90% water/10% bleach mixture. If you mix it properly it will not bleach the carpet (but you said you have a white carpet). Use a white rag and after the bleach use cold water to pick up any remaining bleach of color.

Good Luck!
