Used hair dye remover, it turned orange, been dying it red ever since. I want my natural color back!?

I have a medium-light brown hair. i've been dying it for the past couple years. at one point when it was dark red, I decided i wanted my natural color back. i tried some hair dye "remover", and well... what a mess. it turned my hair orange. I dont mean it dyed my hair orange... it ACUTALLY took the natural-brown out my hair. so i figured i would dye my hair red again, hoping to cover it up. so i've been doing that for over a year. now i want to let my roots grow out so i can have my natural color back, but the longer i leave it without dying, the more the "orange" from before is showing through. so now i have orangish hair from the tips up until about my ear, then it turns a darker red (the hair that was untouched from the dye remover), then my brown roots. GUH. i was thinking of dying it brown, then letting it grow from there. is the brown going to turn orange again, once it starts to wash out? Will it look like 3 different colors... like it does now? kind of a silly question, but im sick of having orange, then red, then brown hair. looks horrible. what is your opinion? Thanks!|||Is the brown going to turn orange again, once it starts to wash out? - Probably, but since your all natural color is brown it could turn it back to natural.

Will it look like 3 different colors... like it does now? - Unfortunately, growing out your roots does keep you with multicolored hair.

What is your opinion? - I don't have an actual opinion formed about this question yet, but I feel horrible for you. Find an old picture of you with your natural hair if you can and if there is any, bring it to a salon and say you want your hair dyed as close to that color as possible. If they do good, go back to them once your orange roots (If they're still orange after this) and have them touch up your roots that color!!

Good luck and I'm so sorry.|||use a permanent hair dye in a chocolate-y brown colour
