Someone spilled red grenadine on my carpet and it has been there overnight. Resolve carpet remover has not worked. How do I get it out?|||I have had pretty good luck using Oxyclean on food stains, it even gets red wine out. Just follow the directions for mixing with water and make sure it's dissolved or the undissolved bits will leave light spots.|||What color is the carpet?? Anything red is going to be hard to get out of anything. I have used this stuff called la's totally awesome, prolly get it at the dollar store. It works on a lot of things.|||i had red kool-aid in my carpet once and i used rubbing alcohol put some on a cloth and dab it don't rub it and it should come right out mine did best of luck|||You will probably have problems with this.. but attempt if you can the principles shown below:(or any part of it)
The best way to always treat any kind of stain is to catch it immediately so it doesn't had time to make a permenant stain.
Soak the spot first in cold water. Just leave it in the basin for several hours if needed. Do not use warm or hot water when dealing with any kind of stain. Heat will set the stain.
If the cold water alone does not remove the blood, then add about 1/4 cup hydrogen peroxide to the cold water and let that set. Test a small area on the comfortor first. Peroxide is a bleach and can cause some discoloring. You may need to add more peroxide if necessary.
Finally empty the sink and refill with 1/3 cup vinegar and cold water. The vinegar will rinse all the peroxide out. Do not dry the comforter in the dryer. If all the blood has not been removed (you may have some hiding in the pile) it will pull the blood to the surface and set the stain.|||try resolve
