How do I lighten dyed red hair?

I dyed my hair red 2 months ago and it's gone really, really dark. I would like it to go a more amber/ginger/orangey colour. If I apply a mild blonde hair dye to it, will it lighten it to the colour I want or would it actually go blonde?

(My natural hair colour is light brown, but I have been dying my hair over already dyed hair for years.)

(I used a colour remover before I applied the red dye.)|||just strip your hair and die it the color you want its the fastest way|||I know it sounds silly and revolting but washing your hair in ketchup works wonders, i dyed my hair red and the school rules were that it needed to be natural coloured and it came out too red. you don't need to leave it in too long otherwise it will completely wash out all the dye in your hair, if you have middle length hair then 2-3 minutes will do fine, just judge yourself how much more or less you need for your hair length. It's rather daunting but trust me i did it to my own hair x

just make sure you wash your hair with shampoo after too! otherwise people will be trying to sip chips in your hair ;) xx|||Go to professionals and let them fix it..
