Need to get SHARPIE out!!! My 4 year-old just got red sharpie on my band new couch! Nail polish remover worked?

followed by a little water to rinse out polish remover|||There is a product that comes in a tube called DIDI 7. This will work great to get out the stain. Try a bit on the underside of the couch first to see if it also removes the print of the sofa. If not, this product will do the job. It also works really well on ball point ink. It seems to take out most ink colors, while leaving most fabric colors unchanged.|||What kind of material is the couch upholstered with?

Acetone can remove permanent marker ink, but it may also melt or bleach the material, so try to test it on an inconspicuous area first. 90% rubbing alcohol can also dissolve the ink, but it's gentler so you might want to try that first.|||well, if its cloth (suede?) then try rubbing it with toothpaste with an old toothbrush! if its leather, then try rubbing it with a wet cloth..but then it will also remove the pigmentations (alchol is even worse).|||try oops cleaner. it removes anything. i use it on my carpets.|||go over it with a dry erase marker of the same color then wipe it off with a dry cloth. It usually takes it off.
