Colorfix haircolor remover to get the red out and go back to blonde?

Here's the situation: My hair is naturally a light ash brown with a few grey hairs. For years I highlighted it blonde but that was too harsh, so I tried a medium auburn, then later wanted blonde again. The stylist tried a "double blonde" formula which turned the regrowth pale yellow and the dyed part orange. To even it out they toned the whole thing with a light honey brown and added a few highlights. It's now a nice medium golden blonde, but I want to get rid of all the dye - and red - and start over. While I think the strawberry gold is very pretty, it doesn't match my skin tone and the regrowth really clashes. I want a light-medium natural blonde with very little warmth. Can I achieve this? I'm interested in Colorfix. I've read some really great reviews which say it's very gentle with NO BLEACH. I understand that it might leave my hair slightly reddish, but will I be able to dye it one more time to achieve light-medium natural blonde? My hair is healthy and in good shape.|||Hi. I have used Colorfix in the past and was very happy with the results. Red is a difficult colour to get out though. I would recommend going to the salon, having the Colorfix put on and then returning later on to repeat the process. I really messed up my hair about a year ago.. I went from highlighted blonde hair to VERY VERY dark red hair...yuck!!! Good luck with everything!!|||I used colorfix in a similar situation. It took out a large portion of the auburn but it ended up like strawberry blond. After I did that though, it made it much easier to use a Feria closer to my natural colour (a dark blondish concoction). My hair also takes red very well, in that it takes FOREVER to get it out, so if you normally don't have a problem with covering a colour, its worth a shot. You mentioned most of the red being out already, so I think this would be a good choice. Just make sure to really concentrate on your ends, that's where most residual colour takes.

Good luck!
